Last updated August 31, 2026

PixelEDU means the software platform and services provided under the PixelEDU brand by Archangel Tablets, LLC, a Florida limited liability company. At PixelEDU ("we," "our," or "us"), we are committed to protecting the privacy and security of our users, customers, and website visitors. This Privacy Policy explains how PixelEDU collects, uses, discloses, and safeguards your information when you access or use our software platform to manage hardware and applications, send emergency alerts as well as design, schedule, manage and publish digital content to displays and computers (collectively, the "Services").

Please read this Privacy Policy carefully. By creating an account, accessing, or using the Services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with this policy, please do not use our Services.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information in three main ways: information you provide directly, information collected automatically when using the Services, and information from third-party sources.

1.1 Information You Provide to Us

  • Account & Registration Data: When you sign up for a PixelEDU account, we collect your name, email address, job title, organization name, phone number, password, and account preferences.
  • Billing & Payment Details: If you purchase a paid subscription, our third-party payment processor collects billing details, such as credit card information, billing address, and tax identification numbers. We do not store full credit card numbers on our servers.
  • Customer Content: We collect and store images, videos, web pages, templates, text, RSS feeds, schedules, and other digital content you upload or configure for display on your screens ("Customer Content").
  • Communications & Support: When you contact our support team or communicate with us, we collect the contents of your messages, support tickets, feedback, and any contact information you provide.

1.2 Information Collected Automatically

  • Display Telemetry: To operate and maintain the Services, our software automatically collects diagnostic and operational data from your displays. This includes device model, operating system version, hardware specifications, IP address, MAC address, network connectivity status, display status, app version, uptime metrics, error logs, and playback status.
  • Usage & Log Data: We collect information about your interactions with our web application, including login timestamps, features used, pages viewed, browser type, operating system, and IP address.
  • Cookies & Tracking Technologies: We use essential and functional cookies, web beacons, and similar technologies to maintain your logged-in session, remember user preferences, and analyze platform usage. You can manage cookie preferences through your browser settings.

1.3 Information from Third-Party Integrations

If you integrate third-party applications or content services into your PixelEDU signage feeds (e.g., Google Slides, YouTube, social media widgets, weather services), we may receive authorization tokens or metadata necessary to display that third-party content on your screens, in accordance with the third-party provider's privacy settings and terms.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information for the following business and operational purposes:

  • Service Delivery: To host, process, schedule, and render your Customer Content across your connected Displays.
  • Account Administration & Billing: To process transactions, manage your subscription plan, send invoices, and communicate regarding account status.
  • Platform Operations & Support: To diagnose technical issues, monitor display uptime, provide customer support, and troubleshoot display errors.
  • Service Improvement & Analytics: To analyze platform usage patterns, optimize system performance, develop new features, and enhance user experience.

3. How We Share and Disclose Information

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties. We share information only under the following circumstances:

  • Public Display URLs & Displays: PixelEDU content feeds are designed to render content onto connected screens or public web URLs. Any Customer Content you deploy to a public display or public URL will be visible to anyone viewing that screen or URL. Do not broadcast confidential or sensitive personal information to public feeds.
  • Service Providers & Vendors: We engage trusted third-party vendors to perform operational services on our behalf, such as cloud web hosting (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud), payment processing (e.g., Stripe), customer support software, and transactional email services. These providers have access to information solely as necessary to perform their functions and are contractually bound to protect data confidentiality.
  • Organizational Administrators: If your account was created under an educational institution or corporate organization, designated administrators in your organization may access account logs, content, and user details associated with your account.
  • Business Transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, reorganization, bankruptcy, or sale of company assets, customer information may be transferred as part of the business assets.
  • Legal Requirements & Safety: We may disclose information if required by law, regulation, subpoena, court order, or governmental request, or when we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of PixelEDU, our users, or the public.

4. Educational Institutions & Student Privacy

PixelEDU is designed for use by administrative staff, educators, and enterprise teams to manage public and campus displays.

  • No Direct Collection from Minors: PixelEDU does not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under the age of 13 (or under 16 in certain jurisdictions).
  • Campus Signage Safeguards: When PixelEDU is deployed in school environments, school administrators are responsible for ensuring that Customer Content uploaded to campus screens complies with applicable student privacy laws, including the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) and the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). Schools should avoid displaying sensitive student records or personally identifiable student information on public signage displays.

5. Data Retention & Deletion

  • Active Accounts: We retain your account data and Customer Content for as long as your account remains active or as needed to provide you with the Services.
  • Canceled or Expired Accounts: Following account cancellation or non-renewal, we retain Customer Content for up to thirty (30) days, during which you may request export of your assets. After 30 days, Customer Content may be permanently deleted from our primary servers.
  • Inactive Free Accounts: Non-paying or free accounts that remain inactive for more than 60 days may be queued for permanent deletion following prior email notifications.
  • System Logs & Backups: Routine system logs, device telemetry, and encrypted backup copies may persist in archival storage for a limited period as required for security, legal compliance, and disaster recovery.

6. Data Security

We implement industry-standard technical, organizational, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or destruction. These measures include:

  • TLS/SSL encryption for data in transit across web applications and displays.
  • Encryption of data at rest within secure cloud databases.
  • Role-based access controls and restricted administrative permissions.
  • Regular system updates, vulnerability monitoring, and firewall protections.

While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your personal information, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and passwords.
